According to Illinois School Code, the responsibility of overseeing the Illinois High School Equivalency Testing Program is entrusted to the Regional Superintendent's Office. Passing one of the IHSE test offerings entitles registrants (17 years of age or older without a high school diploma) to receive a high school equivalency certificate.

|Joliet Junior College offers Pearson-Vue computer based testing and HISET paper/pencil testing at the following testing sites: Main Campus, City Center, and Romeoville.|

Any verifications Pearson Vue requests at the time of the on-line application process ie. withdrawal/drop letter from high school or court order are to be sent to Caitlyn Barnes at ICCB in Springfield.
These verifications are to be faxed to (217)558-6700 or e-mailed to Caitlyn Barnes at Caitlyn.E.Barnes@illinois.gov. Caitlyn approves these verifications and then notifies Pearson-Vue to allow the person to finish their registration on line. The applicant will get an e-mail from Pearson-Vue when the verification has been approved.

We are custodians of Illinois High School Equivalency records for individuals who tested in Will County as well as Joliet Job Corps and all Will County Correctional Centers.
