Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
State Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, passed legislation establishing the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Pilot Program. Beginning on Jan. 1, 2024, the program will assist Will County grandparents raising their grandchildren by connecting them with state-provided resources and services to ensure they receive necessary support. Its aim is to address the needs of older adults fulfilling caregiving roles for their grandchildren in the community.
The Will County Regional Office of Education has partnered with Natalie Manley to assist with Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, utilizing the office as a drop-off site for toiletry donations of all kinds.
