The state fall subsidy window opens September 1st and closes on October 11, 2021. This subsidy pays for all fees related to the process. There is a $75 nonrefundable registration fee. This is the only cost a teacher or counselor will incur. Click here to learn more about the subsidy.
Free support is available throughout the certification process and support sessions are anticipated to begin in the middle of September.

Suspension of Constitution Test Requirement through June 30, 2022

The suspension of the Constitution Test requirement means:
Anyone who completes and passes an ICCB-approved high school equivalency exam (GED® or HiSET®) based on the State of Illinois requirements between February 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022 will be issued an Illinois High School Equivalency (ILHSE) Certificate
Anyone who completed and passed a high school equivalency exam (GED®, HISET® or TASC) but did not pass the constitution test prior to February 1, 2021, will be issued and Illinois High School Equivalency (ILHSE) certificate upon request.
WORK PERMIT UPDATE
The Illinois Department of Labor is now allowing all work permit requests to be conducted via email. Please refer to our information tab under "Services" for complete details on the requirements.
